A report,

It's been three months I think give or take, and ALL my tanks are still dedicated to goldfish. I am loving it still. My charges are getting FAT. I gotta tell you that there is nothing, and I mean nothing like a FAT HAPPY blue oranda in this hobby. at least for me there isn't. "Daddy" as I call him, is a pure joy to watch, cruising around like a great white shark, gobbling up anything and everything I feed him.

Anyway, thought you'd like to know that i'm still a goldfish maniac! :)

It is.

Joining Daddy, is Junior, Mr. President, Ming Ming, Goldie, and Moe, Larry and Curly. Fingers crossed that everything continues on course. I trust it will.

They key with goldfish is getting the right stock from the beginning i've found.

High quality stocks that you absolutely enjoy. It's why some pet stores get frustrated with me. I just trawl their stores looking for their fish but never really buy, often commenting the flaws. -_- I prefer to buy my collection from avid breeders and collectors.

Some people will beg to differ but we can't "save" everything because we tend to pity the ones with a lot of flaws. I just regret doing this. I 'rescued' a beautiful oranda with a mixed infestation of lice and anchorworms. She did just fine though after the horrendous disaster trying to kill off the bugs. But I also rescued a calico oranda that seemed sluggish and in the end, lost her to velvet.

Nice to know! :)

BTW, did your 10g rimless hold up well when you had the convict? I was wondering if not having the rim brace would make it weaker.

now its time to go the next level and get into TOP VIEW RANCHU's, TOSAKINS, TOP VIEW ORANDA'S. thats when you know your an addict.
