Not certain if this is the right forum...but I broke down and got another monster...a common pleco. May seem a bit anti climactic but they can get to two full feet, and a friend of mine has one that big...it is one of the most awesome fish I have ever seen...almost ray shaped..amazing. They have theirs in a grossly overstocked tank but all of the fish in it are huge and thriving so I am not going to say a peep...

My little booger is only about 1.5 inches, just a fry. But that's about the same size as my bullhead was when I first got her.

I have the pleco in a five gallon with a betta. I just found out (wow learn something new every day) that the betta will prefer a heated tank too so next week before it cools off I go get a tiny heater. I have three other tanks not in use right now. A 10, a 20L and a 55...so I am set for many years to come. Wish me better luck with both of them....I need it after my big setback.

well I wouldn't say your set for years......

maybe a year, common pleco's grow fast, and need a big tank, because they produce A TON of waste.
