I'm building a tank too!! 500+ Gal ply

So I started my tank a few weeks ago but waited until now to start a thread. This way I'm at the halfway point and hopefully won't have to drag this on for many months.

And now the pictures...

Just had to do a layout while unloading from my car.

That was only a couple, not a few so I owe at least one more...

I'll probably make my cross braces on the top narrower and/or space out for four or five total. I may try to go 3/4" acrylic top braces for max lighting

Rocket is balancing on a piece of scrap wondering if the tank is for him.

I'm worried about the corners, I figured you'd do something with the top. I'm not saying it's not gonna work, I just dont recall seeing a tank that size with glued and screwed corners. Looks great! What thickness is the plywood?

The front has a 2x4 the full length at bottom and 3/4" inch below the top. Also another 2x4 across the top back. Those allow me to set and secure the top braces. 3/4" x4 plywood on front inside sides to create a frame for the acrylic. Approx 2" all the way around to secure the viewing window. Fiberglass is mostly done on the inside.

3/4" inch plywood all the way around as well.
