Tomorrow around 5 I'll be picking up a 125 gallon tank. it comes with 35 lbs of live rock. i don't know if its cured or not. Well im new to SW setups. I'm wondering if i need to fill up the tank with R/O water or should i just put salt water in?

it would be very helpful if you could give a link on SW tanks. im going to try to cramp alot of info in tonight.

and what type of stock would you think would look awesome?

if it comes with live rock it's probably already cured, and you should fill it with mized saltwater unless you have a container and some SW to hold the rock in while you mix the salt in the tank

personally i like more medium sized fish rather than fewer large fish

I would do like:
3 schooling bannerfish
4 anthias (doesn't matter much what type, except price) 1 male 3 female
5-7 cardinalfish or chromis
lyretail or cuban hogfish
quinquevittatum wrasse (not sure if they have a common name somewhere)
bird wrasse
and maybe a small team of sleeper gobies

you could do something like an eel, grouper, lion, and puffer if you were going with bigger fish

that sounds like alot of fish for a 125 gallon.
Would the tank be overstocked with all the fish from banner fish to sleeper gobies?

The guy emailed me today saying that he sold that tank....
im sad

dam... but no, i don't think that tank would be overstocked, if you have adaquate filtration it should be fine
