i did a fishless on my 75. should i take some of the ceramic rings from the fluval filters and dump it directly in the 55g tank? should I add some of the water from the 75? will this affect the wet dry filter, its my first time having a wet dry.

put some media in from a cycled filter add a couple fish and a pack of bio spira then enjoy another fish tank alot sooner

x2 Agreed, I just did this on my 110, worked great.

i just think it is completely pointless to wait for a tank to cycle completely when you have cycled tanks. seachem stabilty or cycle are good products to use also.

I agree. Just get some water from you already existing tank and it'll go faster.

There is barely any ammonia or nitrite in a cycled tank because it is cycled out! Don't worry about taking water from the tank, just media.

Put the rings on top of the filter media in the sump right under the spray bar/drip plate. You could fill the sump with used tank water and let it stand for an hour then turn the pump back on, but like RadleyMiller said if your other filter is working right won't be much in there.

And like the others said, bacteria in a bag can get you going faster most of the time if done right.

Good Luck and keep us posted.
