i finally made the decision to tile my 180gallon tank. after hours of reading/research i went with a high gloss black marble tile and it looks beautiful imo. i'm just trying to decide if i'm gonna add my 5 foot piece of manzita driftwood or not. water changes and maintenance are a breeze the powerhead keeps debris exactly where i want it-in the filter intakes.....never going back to sand or gravel again:headbang2

will take some pics and try and post em

good to see you stayed in the hobby. (unless I got it twisted? I could swear you said you were bailing out recently because of the land lord no?)

yeah we had a sit down..the flood was from a faulty fx5 filter that leaked out while everyone was outta the house work/school:irked: so we compromised i was able to keep the tank if i promised not to use canister filters with hoses going in and out of the tank and if i got renters insurance...i had to go with a trio of ac 110's:shakehead

Hey man~ whatever ya gotta do to keep it in the hobby
I really felt for ya to hear that you were being forced to shut down.Glad it worked out in your favor.Ac110's kick butt, for an HOB anyway. They've saved my butt quite a few times and I always have a few running just for "grabs" should a situation arise.
