I decided today that I'm turning my home office into a Fish Room. It currently has a 210 gallon tank with some young Viejas in it. The desk I ordered for it was ordered back in late November and they sent me an email saying it will arrive mid to late March!!

I have the area figured out where the L-shaped desk will go. I measure out two other areas in there that could fit some 75 gallon tanks. I may be going tomorrow to pick up a 60 gallon tank at Petsmart. I want to do a 75 gallon for the other.

There is one area near the window I could put a smaller tank. I know fish aquariums near windows can spell nightmare but the sun isn't bad there and it will have a background. For the window area I'm thinking a smaller/taller tank. Maybe a colum tank or a 46 bow front.

I'm excited! Maybe I'll use this post for updates/pics?

Sounds nice! Assuming the home office is on a concrete slab to tolerate that kind of weight? Also sounds like the area has easy access for water changes if you've already got a 210 in there.

In my experience, tanks up against a window are no problem if you put a background on it and keep it a planted tank.

Sounds great! I’m jealous. My dream is to have a heated greenhouse with a koi pond stocked with koi (of course) and a pleco or 2. Good luck with it. I do agree that you have a strong enough base to hold all that weight.

Looks great!

A bow front corner tank or a hex tank would have worked nicely in that corner as well.

Got room for a 29g in front of that window? LOL

My basement is the size of a LFS, but I'd have to sort the electrical and plumbing first... Well.. after I got a second job and the ambition of course..

Read the initial post, im putting something in front of the window. Ill probably do some sort of colum tank because room there is limited and I'm a sucker for tall tanks.

I'll do a 75 gallon on the other side of the French doors. So basically the Fish Room will have

210 gallon
60 gallon
75 gallon
And either a small bow front, colum tank or something similar
