i currently live in Houston TX and will be moving to Oklahoma. this is a 9 hour drive. how do i move my fish properly with out ANY fatalities? i have a sump filtrations system so how do i keep the healthy bacteria alive while the water is not cyceling? when i arrive at my new house how long should i cycle new water before i put in my Tangy's? this is all very overwhelming to me and i want to do this right. please HELP!

keep the media damp and it should be fine if the new water is close in stats to the old water then no problem just hook everything up and it will be fine and i like rubbermaid containers for moving fish

portable air pumps, tubing, filter boxes to put your bio media in, lots of batteries +spares, heat packs (depending on weather) and finally some cool boxes.
this is my kit for moving 8hrs away which im doing on tuesday.
drill holes in the cool boxes to fit the air tubing through with enough of a gap to allow air out of the box to release the co2. attach a pump to the tubing on the outside of the cool boxes. put a heat pack (if needed) into a fish bag and then double up the bag. hang the heat pack in the cool box above the water, use the lid to hold the bag in place.
attach the air line to the filter boxes filled with your bio media and your cool boxes are now filtered. if your pumps are strong enough then you could get a T-piece to split the air line onto 2 filter boxes so you can keep more bio without the cost of an extra pump.

had to transport my piranha for 6 hours just used the tank water... got some stress coat from the pet store and $4.99 are pump from walmart in the fishing area...and into the 5 gallon bucket he went and he was fine

also kept another 5 gallon bucket of water incase i had to leave him in there longer to get him fresh water

Yeah I just moved about 3 hours away today and I just put my fish in three separate 5 gallon buckets with lids and a hole drilled in each for an air diffuser. I just split a normal battery operated air pump three ways with one outlet going to each bucket. No fatalities and everyone is doing fine. Just keep your filter media wet. Put it in a ziploc bag or another bucket if you have it.
