I have a 120 gallon tank that houses 2 Red devils and their 8 children (out of hundreds) along with a few algae eaters.

I also have a 55 gallon tank that houses 6 red belly pirrannahs.

I wanted to become a member because the female red devil has been laying on rocks for 2 days now and she will only move if you try to touch her. She had 3 sets of fry in the beginning of this year and I'm not sure if she is pregnant again or if she is dying.

The male and female red devils have been in their same tank for 5 years now. I am not sure of the level of nitrate ammonia and other toxics. but I do have the fluval filteration system and the male appears to be fine. If more information is needed to help please let me know. I need assistance desperately. I also have more not sure if better pictures available.

Thanks

Hello and welcome to MFK!

Howdy and Welcome to MFK. Sounds like it's time for you to get a test kit. Maybe read up on the Nitrogen cycle. Good luck!

My personal preference is FW. I've been in SW before but I prefer FW.

:welcome: to MFK, Shopaholiks!

:welcome: and for your poll, FW > SW :D

thanks you guys! My girl red devil is fine now and appears to be back to normal. I did a water change and she instantly seemed better-don't know what that was all about but yes I will get the test kit @ Problemz
