I bought a 8" silver arrowana 3 weeks ago and not once i have seen it eat.....i tried pellets or crickets but no luck.....what do you feed your arrowana????

what did the person that you purchased it from feed the arowana? I bought mine young and he was only eating feeders at the lfs. It took about 2 weeks to get him to accept pellets and krill. it might have been a coincidence but he started eating after i gave him a blackworm treat one day.

how are the water conditions? he might be stressed and thsi could be the reason he's not eating. best of luck to you!

try some frozen beef heart and if you fear losing it to starvation used some feeders as a last resort

Is it active or does it just stay at the tank bottom? Try putting some live feeder fishes but quarantine first.

try guppies and of tuffies stick with live foods till u get him feeding on other foods
if u could get him feeding on beef heart later on that would be GREAT!! good luck my friend

hows your water? no ammonia and nitrates?? , then upping the temp up to 83-85 then add salt, 1tbsp per 5 gallons.

I have found that the food any fish will eat, even really fussy/non eating fish is frozen blood worms!
the food of champions!
all of my fish will eat it, aro, barcoo grunter, and all of my small fish too, they love it!

how long have you got the arowana? if it is fairly recent then the fish might still be stressed from the transfer and would need to get settled in its new surroundings.. just give it more time then try feeding again..

if it does start to feed though i would suggest for you to train in to eat pellets and other meaty foods rather than feeding live foods ;)

wiggle an earthworm in front of its face. When i've had picky aros they always took that.
