hi im new in your forum and new with arowana

i buy him 2 days ago he is 24 cm and he looks great silver arowana the only thing is that he dont eat for 2 days now is this from stress ?

its normal on newly move fish.. if it gets comfortable it will eat,
u can try leaving some healthy feeder fish in there so he can chase if he gets hungry.

nice fish! nice tank however he will need a bigger tank very soon good luck! ;)

:iagree:

i agree with all above posts...silver aros can grow up to 3ft long, that tank will not hold him for very long...

a stressed fish in a new environment will most likely not eat for awile..give it time, it might be for a few days or even a few weeks....attemp to feed him everyday untill he does..remove all uneaten food when he doesnt eat...you can try feeder fish so you can leave them in till he feels like eating.(be sure to quarentine all feeders for sickness of course ;) ) ....live food almost always work. such as crickets :) ...be sure also, to give him a variety of food live, freeze dried ,pellets, market shrimp, etc....do that, along with a bigger tank w/good water parameters and you'll have a very happy and healthy aro ;)

I would buy CRICKETS :)

My experience most Arows will slam a Cricket long before a fish :)
