Ok so im new to the whole fish keeping thing and i just helped my buddy set up both are first tank. right now we have 5 Tiger Barbs and 5 Daino in a 10 Gallon. the Daino seem fine but the Tiger Barbs worry me a bit. the temp is 77 but im just wondering if theres anything i should know about any of these fish? so far all Daino have eaten when we fed em a few hours after putting them in the tank but the tiger's are just sitting near this rock and ones actually decided that he likes it better under the rock. is this normal for them or is it just because of the stress? later today were going to get some more fish and rocks and things like that. any suggestions on tank layout or tank mates is welcome.

dont add anymore fish, if anything get a bigger tank, 30g should be good for the stock you have imo. but for the question, it is normal that they hide like that, give them sum time to adapt. ps. dont feed more than twice a day, imo once a day is ideal !
not even a few ghost shrimp? do the tigers like caves/rocks or plants? there all only 1 inch now but there supposed to get 3 inches long and honestly we anticipated losing a few in the first night. any suggestion on water temp?
