I have two 60 gallon tanks one south American cichlids and one African cichlids I really like my Africans

I'm thinking about getting rid of all my south American cichlidS and getting another African cichlid tank:confused:

What do you think I should do?

Guess it depends if you're able to sell off your SAs. I seem to like the SA colors, but they're too aggressive for me to enjoy much. Always watching to see if a major fight breaks out. The CAs seem to be a bit duller in color, but seem to be more peaceful and just defend a specific area. IMO, I think I would like the two opposing tanks just for the contrast. If I were to have two tanks with the same setup in mind, I think it would eventually look like a duplicate tank.

I think you've got your CA (Central American) and SA (South American) cichlids mixed up.

And I prefer CA cichlids over SA or African personally. Just depends on what you like, I see the appeal in all of them.

@ clockwork, you might be right. I'm very new to cichlids, but I do know there's a big difference between the two Americans (lol).

I prefer SA/CA cichlids. Just because of their size and personality.

I do however have africans, but they are Frontosa.. again, large.

You need a colony of frontosa in order for them to breed...

I have 17 in a group, and they just had eggs... but she swallowed them.

And no, you can't keep 2 in there because they reach 14"
