I had two angles, sex unknown in a 20 long. I bought them on an impulse a couple of months ago.

I seperated the two about a week ago. Today I see that the one I left in the 20 gallon has layed eggs and they appear to be starting to hatch.

Is this possible? I can understand that she may have layed eggs, but they appear to be fertilized. I may be seeing things, but the eggs sure look to be fertile????????

comments please...pictures coming soon.

I am guessing that they were laid before you seperated them - they take about a week to hatch and then to wigglers. Contratulations and good luck.

well I have fry...how about that! I did not notice the eggs before, they must have done the deed before I seperated them. I seperated them because they were fighting.

I have pairs that fight over the eggs too. Sometimes it settles down, other times I have to do the same thing and leave just one parent in the tank to care for the eggs. Congratulations! :)

That impulse probably came when you saw them in breeding mode in the pet shop. You must be doing something right.

The white eggs are the unfertilized ones, you've probably figured that out by now. If you want any questions answered post them.

Raising the fry are the treat. My biggest problem is keeping up with my pairs. Especially now that i am looking for more. Get BBS started.
