1/7/08 at 1600, a fish left east coast. Intended destination was my 5ft tank kept at 80F in the Bay Area, California. It is now midnight the 32nd hour of being in a small bag of limited water in the cold, and no one knows where it is. Who knows what I will find tomorow when I get and open that box. If USPS gets their "ship" together at all!

Will this fish survive 48hrs?

Oh, it was supposed to be overnight, USPS lost it. Customer service said they would call me back. Never did. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope it atleast comes tomorow.

I've seen them live longer..... Like 12 days!!!

But not in this weather and crossing all those cold states!!

In this weather I've seen fish not even make it 6 hours with a 30 hour heat pack!!! Got too cold and the ehat pack stopped working!!!

Too many variables you didn't mention. 1) Size/type of fish 2) Size of bag (length and width while empty) and water level in bag in inches while held upright. 3) How was he packed? Was the lined in styro? If so, how thick the insulation? 4) Was he packed with O2 or just air?

Some varieties of fish just ship better than others. But if you are really interested in answers a bit more info would help.

^ Agreed with above ^

What kinda fish is it?

I dont know all that! I didnt pack the fish! I'm done bothering the dealer untill it gets hear. I dont blaim him. I should have gone with other transportation. Didnt know USPS was bad. Its 6" is all I can say for now. I will reveal what it is with the pic when it arrives. If anyone wants to vote, it will have to be done with limited information. sorry.

Be sure to have a camera on you just in case it DOA.

Hope it works out!!!

you don't even know what type of fish it is? i put alive just for hoping

thanks for the hope everyone, but its now almost 4pm here and I'm gonna guess that USPS lost my fish real good, cuz I havnt got a call and tracking info only says its been picked up from the east coast on the 7th, nothing more. I do know what kind of fish it is, I just wanted to leave it a surprize for all of you who voted. I guess I should have made the poll "do you think they will ever find it!"
i'll update everyone with any news.
