We just lost one of our new oscars:cry:. I had them in with the rainbows and the other day they had more eggs. Well they were ok untill today, Bec called me in for me to find the pair of rainbows hammering my oscar. I pulled it straight out and floated it but i was to late. Darn thing was so cute:cry:

With knowing about aggression of fish when they are spawning, why would you have felt it was necessary to introduce new fish into the tank?

Sucks that it happened, but it's something you should have first thought about first.

I had put the oscars in due to my inpulse buying, and not enough tanks. And the rainbows did not have any young in there when i put them in. The oscars had been in for about a week and the rainbows only had eggs 3 days ago. The first lot i had taken out, and i didnt think that a rainbow would get the better of an oscar. The other thing was i have been watching close over the last few days and the aggression was very little. The rainbows would only have to flare up and the others would back down. I guess it was my fault and sometimes we learn the hard way.
