I was resealing my first aquarium... never did it before.... however I was using a silicone that was 100% safe for aquariums... however I ran out of THAT silicone like 80% through the tank.

So I used this following silicone...

http://www.selleystrade.com.au/Silicone-401-RTV794/default.aspx

Guys please tell me if you THINK its fine? It says NON-TOXIC can be used around food and all...

Thanks guys!

It looks OK to me.

Thanks pal... anyone else :p ?

80% through and you used a non specified aquarium safe silicon ? If I was you I would cut / clean out the parts you used with the non aquarium safe silicon and do it again.

Food contact and water immersion are two totally different things !!!

It was only recently a member re sealed his tank with non approved silicon and his fish all started dying off, until mfk members sourced the cause to his silicon. He re sealed the tank with proper silicon and all good.

oh great....

Looks fine to me. Just give it plenty of time to cure.

^^ I called the manufacturers they said it should be fine, but instead of the normal 3days give it 7 days to cure and it should be fine after giving it a good rinse as well :D :nilly:
