for another stocking thread but I need your help!
ok so I am setting up a 135g tank until i have enough$$$$ for a monster 360g
so what stocking would be good?
I love big fish and bichirs BUT could you imagine it a discus tank
with a school of 8-12 discus with loaches and LOTS of tetras:headbang2
again sorry for another "what stocking" thread but I realy want your opinion on it as I am stuck between the two

A river setup of loaches (especially loaches), barbs, danios, SAEs and rasboras.

Discus, plecos, tetras, corydoras and angels are another option.;)

Your discus tank sounds like a good idea. Also, be careful with barbs, they bite plecos tails. Atleast I have seen them do it.

Lupins suggestions sound cool too. But before you do anything, make sure the water conditions are all the same or close to the same of all fish. I think Discuss need higher PH or something like that.

Nope. Their water conditions in the wild is soft and acidic however captive bred ones should have no problem acclimating though.

Discus although beautiful require almost perfect water conditions and are very PH sensitive.

I think they would look great in such a tank. Those critters can get pretty expensive.

in my 360g ill be setting up next year it will have a silver aro, rays and lots of bichirs:headbang2

im still realy stuck with it
discus or dats?!!!!!:irked:
discus are so gracefull but dats are just so damn awsome
discus are epensive! while dats can be expensive discus cost more
Im leaning toward the discus idea but where can i get cheaper ones and what type should I get?

Contact any local breeders around. They are better than LFS usually.;)
