Ok, I have a choice of either:
A. a Spotted or Alligator Gar.
or
B. Saratoga.

The only thing that makes me lean more towards the Saratoga is that the Gar is gonna cost me near $700 :( ( I live in Australia ).

I want the Gar more, but I don't think I wanna pay that much.

I have never owned either of them, and lots of yous have, so in your experience, which is a much better fish?.

if you choosed the gar, i suggest you keep the spotted cause gator gar can grow huge at a ridiculously fast rate and finding a tankmate would be very hard

With the A. Gar, I have pre planned it already (1155gal pond)

But I would rather a Spotted, but once again would probably cost more money.

you can keep it there for a long time but not for life. these things can grow up to 5' in captivity and need space because they are likely to break their back when spook.

They might even grow for more than 5' in captivity :naughty: there are some gator gars that can reach to 10 ft, and no one knows if the one that he'll buy has the ability to reach that whacking size! :WHOA:, so I'll go for the spotted :(
