Check my stocklist in my signature

Cutteri, Bahia Red, Notatus, Maybe Balzanii are on the ax list....

What would you do with the 75? Maybe rearrange my stock or any neat ideas for South American species for the 75? Id prefer to be able to keep it warmer but I have also thought to just add the Red Ceibals to the 75 and only keep the Balzanii's in there with them and keep it unheated.

go with the unheated tank and find a Uruguayan pike  when i get peters ceibal my 75g will have a pair of red ceibal, creni punctata, and some gymnos

Sounds like a plan. How many balzanii's do you have in there?

It is the best solution with the fish that I have, I agree. These are all domestic strain Balzanii though so I am not sure how great they will actually look. There are currently 6 in there. I bought 4 and Ken was so nice to throw in 2 extra because they were so tiny when I got them.

I wanted to make this an Uruguayan tank originally but when I sold some of my tank, I let that idea go. Still considering it but I am afraid a pike will overwhelm the other fish and eat all the fry and eggs. Thoughts?

THanks for the suggestion, but Im not really into those. I would be afraid a75 would not support an adult pair properly.

They are nice - I bred them ;)

The number of fish sounds good, and they can be happy for life. Get some tetras, plants, and call it a tank :)

Oh, those came from your pair huh? Ill have to look up some old pics. Tetras wont eat the fry?? If thats what I do I think I will try my hand at some Anubias and some java ferns maybe. Any real easy plants you use?

Can G. Labiatus be kept in pairs or do they need a colony as well?
