Has anyone tried RBP with a large puffer? I Know its a dumb suggestion but i never seen anyone post about it. ive seen catfish, rays, neons and convicts...but never puffers...well large puffers. like a fahka or something.
 
I wouldn't do it for the obvious aggression reasons. Plus, there's the fact that Ps prefer neutral to acidic soft water while the large fahaka/mbu puffers prefer alkaline hard water.

piranhas can realy only be kept with piranhas safely
plecos do fine with them but thats the only combo i would do
 
^^ya i know about the same question. but never did large puffers every come up. i think im gonna add 2 more and a pleco. cuz the bottom of my tank is dirty and what sucks is i have half inch to 1 inch rocks so food gets wedged.

Fahaka would either nip your Ps or get eaten. Mbu would either get owned or something else. Cross River would be an extremely expensive P food.
 
Fahaka plus most fish= dead other fish. Fish tough enough to stand up to fahakas= dead fahaka.
 
I tried to keep mine with neons they got devoured overnight :( but a BN pleco has lived with them for months I think plecos are the best shot for a tank mate
