Im thinking of getting a gator gar

I can get a 5" gator gar. I want it but need help to decide. It would go into a 90gal with 1 5"-6" ck. 2 2"dats and 1 5" niger cat.. what do y'all think. Help me decide please...

Don't get it unless you have a big pond . Youll have a problem once it grows bigger.

That's what I was thinking. This gar is the best one I've seen this year.. and small...his pattern is so clean no rips in the fins and active. And he's fat

I'm not familiar with gar growth - they're prohibited in Oregon :irked: - but that Niger will outgrow your tank in a year or less. If you have plenty of space I think the knife and the catfish would be fine with the gar.
 
Why not get a more manageable gar species rather than gator?

If u want to get him get a smaler tank for the small fish and put them in it. If u want to spend the money

LFSs usually carry Florida gar rather than gator gar, are you sure it is a gator gar?
