I was feeding my larger cats tonight when i ran out of shrimp,well my RTC was still hungry(what else is new!!!)The only thing i had available was this(crab meat)the kind that comes in like a block shape.I cut off a chunk and threw it in,the RTC went nuts and devoured it!!Is this a safe alternative??It mainly consists of fish.Any advice or input is really appreciated!!!

Yeah It works great actually... but it seems to leave me with a hell of a clean up job to do as alot of the "flakes" seem to get blown threw Busters gills... I did it a bunch of times with no problems... then it was like he learned a new trick and wouldn't stop doing it ... I'd hand him a piece then he would "chew it" open the gills and wham like a thousand micro pieces would come fllyin out...I would have let the filter take care of it but I really don't want a bloom happening later LOL so it took a good 45 mins of chasing fish chunks out of the water with a RTC bumping the little net around. Anyway Long story short... Been there done that... won't try again for awhile LOL
I've fed it to my cichlids, some love it, some won't touch it. I'm preparing to ween my Limas off feeders and I'm going to try it. The stuff is dirt cheap and has some the same ingredients as some fish food, i.e. wheat germ, corn meal..It's been a while since I looked.
