So i just bought a used emperor 400 it moves water just not that fast or well. Can a impeller lose it's magnetism??? if so i'll jsut buy another and we'll be good. anything else i can do its an older model

i don't know the exact age prolly over 4 y/o. I bought a brand new emp400 one prior to this one and i can tell it has something to do with the impeller because it's not even pumping enough water to hit the deflection plate on the top like the new one.

Take the impeller out and check for lint build up around the shaft (yes it's weird but I have seen it several times). Also clean out the impeller housing. Growth in there adds friction to the impeller which slows it down.

They make a little round brush that fits right down in the hole.

yea i've done all that and it still is kinda weak. The only water that actually overflows back into the tank is from the spray bar. It seems as though no water is being pumped into the back of the hob. I'm going to buy a new impeller today and see if it helps.
