A little over a year ago I purchased an Odyssea CFS 500 canister filter on ebay for around $60 and its been very good for me until now. I realized that it's impeller shaft is worn in areas where it comes in contact with the impeller, thus creating an annoying vibration sometimes. this comes and goes around the time that I do my water change or whenever I open up the filter. I know I need to replace the shaft but I cannot find any place that supplies this part. I have just contacted the seller on ebay for help with this but I wanted to check here to see if there are other solutions, is there a compatible name-brand part that would work with this filter? are these parts generic?
