I won't regurgitate what you've already read, but here are some first hands experiences worth noting: while they may survive in warmer waters, they really thrive in cooler temps. Their feeding response at 72* is night and day different than at 80*. They're not picky eaters in the least. My guys would eat everything from cory cats to pellets and everything in between. They love flow as well. A sandy substrate and smooth river rocks are their ideal habitat. Also, they grow unbelievably slow. You'll understand the drastic disparity in price/size very quickly.
