Hallo...

I would like to import some polys from Africa...
Anyone know how expensive it is to bring polys from africa to germany?

i think the better question would be how hard rather than expensive, because if you want wild caught bichirs, some habitats are just hard to access because of rebels and stuff happening in africa.

But i think not all habitats are full of rebels...?!
First i'm intrested on the price ...

import directly from Africa, i bet the price would be very attractive, but just make sure u do a transaction with a reliable consignee :)

Hey Hao...

Because its very expensive to order bichir there...

I would advise to rather get your fish for the place that how advise, reason being?

1) At least you can see the fish before to you buy it most importantly,
2)Import licence and permits for the fish.(Im not sure on how the importing works in Germany)
3) You are running the risk if the risk arriving alive and die or are carrying any diseases.
4)Fish arrive dead.
5) Commutation as you are dealing with people from Africa and they can be abit shadey, and i have friends in the importing of fish industry and they what they tell you are getting is sometimes not, wrong size, wrong type, condition etc.

I have personally tried to import poly's and have decide that it is too much risk on me even though i am in Africa!:screwy:.

My advise will be get the fish from supplier that have went through all the trouble to get the fish.

It mite be a bit expensive but it will be worth every cent having a healthy fish.
