Imports from Madagascar

Does anyone have any import experience with reptiles from Madagascar? I'm looking for a supplier but spent too much time in Africa to feel good about it!

Is this a recent thing? Perhaps this is a dumb question, but where do all the wild Madagascar reptiles come from? Illegal exports?

I thought they have a quota system for approved species like panther chameleons.
