We got gar in most of the lakes around where I live. People catch them all the time.

And Dovii and FH are plentiful in the lfs'.

Brazil huh? Very lucky. I would love to live there for a while someday.

Yeah Brazil would be a great place to live. They're the world's 10th largest economy and aren't feeling the recession crunch at all from what I hear.

crime rate in some parts of brazil are astonishing, a friend of mine got robbed at knife point twice while in one of the major cities, i forget which one

Wow that is great, I plan on trying to go this summer and stay with relatives! Hopefully it pans out and I have the money for it!!

Yup, Brazil's been energy self-suficient since the 1980-1990s, if I am not mistaken. It's funny, because Ethanol based Ford models (akas Flex fuel engines) were being sold down there long before Bush thought of rescuing some of his oiler friends' incomes.

Most likely Rio. Stay away from the suburbs people, unless you're MMA. :D

interesting, i'm sure brazil would be nice though. as for the op's question dovii were kind of hard to find in my area but for some reason almost every lfs has them now. fh's aren't too hard to find if you look in the right lfs' and certain gar are reported to live in the the three rivers in some places but i couldn't give you a real answer if they are or not.
