I am just getting back into having an aquarium in my home after a 20 year absence at least. ( I have a 10,000 koi pond though) Anyway...yesterday I stopped by Twins Aquarium in Stockton as I needed a heater. I bought the heater and the owner that I was interested in some fish. The first thing he asked was how long I had my tank up! I knew this was a good guy right then and there. I told him two weeks (yea I know I wasn't cycled yet, but fell for some fish) and he said...."come back in three weeks with some of your water, I will test it and decide if I will sell you fish or not. " Wow! A class act. Other stores would have simply sold me fish. I stupidly would have brought them home and watch them flounder. Am I going back to this place? Oh, you betcha I will.

My tank is a 125 gallon one that my son gave me. Eheim filter and playground sand substrate. I have a pleco and syndontis cat seeding the bio.

Yeah,i have a place that i really respect also it is called "Emmons Tropical Fish" in Simsbury Conn.I have bought many fish from Steve(the owner) and they have always been of highest quality, all of my Arowanas have been from him and they have always been in pristine condition. If he doesnt have what you are looking for (fish or equipment)he will get it the very next week,he ia an expert fishkeeper in both Fresh and Saltwater and you can always rely on his advice.I have to travel 45 mins to an hour to get there but it is well worth it!!!I highly recommend this store!!
