I'm undergoing DSM with carpet plants and was thinking is there any way to improve it's growth. Plants are doing fine (not turning brown, everything in dark green color as it should be (monte carlo plant), spreading...). Light is about 10-12h/day, daily or twice a day spraying of water, basically everything is ok. Soil is ADA Amazonia, so again - everything fine from this point of view.
But I have an idea, which I'm not sure whether it would benefit the speed of plant growth or not. Using fertilizers in water which is sprayed on them daily. Maybe somebody done that and so saw results? Or it won't induce faster growth, 'cause soil already has enough in itself?
EDITED: I also give the plants an opportunity to breath - 20-30mins/ day. Humidity is huge since I'm using food plaque on top of the tank.
