I found two sets of 24 inch florecent lights in the garage the other day, and thought of adding blue colored cellophane paper under the glass, in a manner that it does not heat up the paper.
and when turning it on, instead of illuminating the tank white, it will give it a blueish color. I know it is nowhere near as good as a real LED light, but i figured it would not hurt to try to see what i get, and the paper is only a dollar in the 99$ store.
So what im basically what i want it to have those two lights behind two 48 inch cora life plant light, (oh i forgot to mention one cora life will have an orange cellophane color under it, to mimic sunset)
and have all 3 light sets on different timers.
Daylight, sunset, and Moonlight.
So while the transition to sunset, the day light and sunset light will be on for a good 30 mins, then switch to sunset and moon light for 30 mins, then complete moonlight when it turns night time, then eventually off.
I know it is easy to just buy the equipment cept youll pay a whole lot of money, but i wanna try pulling this off with out having to spend so much. in this hobby itz good to buy expensive quality equipment, but if there are ways to get around it, and seem to work then why not lol. (pool filter sand for example lol)
So just wondering what people thought =^_^=
