Bought a baby red fin wolf fish am i stupid to put it in the tank described below! it is skinny and all of 3inches

Wtf? He has a red wolf fish . . . not a parachromis dovii, lol. Possibly try to get one of those breeder containers to hang on your tank? Either that or set up a tub with a spare filter to keep the wolf in?

Dovii are also called Wolf Cichlid, so an easy enough mistake to make

just get a 20g and keep him there.
they grow slow.
then when you can,upgrade.

20 would be fine for now,later on just move him,red fins are not as aggresive as commons

Def. agree, he's to small to go into that tank....try to get a 20g, they're not expensive....Good Luck
