Ok,so my girlfriend's Brother goes to some wholesalers fish shop in CT 'cause he works at a LFS.......so he's on the phone with me two states away telling me what they have....so out of all they had........this sounded the best........SALVINI'S....Four of them to be exact.See,some/most of you are probably saying i'm dumb,but Salvini's don't come 'round my LFS's......and i see them here on MFK alot so I MUST HAVE MONSTER!!!!!!!! Ok,got a 90 Gallon for 'em.I COULD look over the archives to see what i'm getting into,but i would MUCH rather hear past Salvini owner's tales:):):):):)): Thanks guys.
 
Salvinis are freakin awesome good pickup. Around my area we get tons of Salvinis all the tanks will have at least one. By the way what LFS did your GF Bro go to I am all ways looking for new LFS to go to in CT. Anyways Salvinis aren't really monster as they are peace keepers. Mine just doesn't like me at all. I got him used to me and all but now when I come in the room he bites the glass and what not. He has biten me a couple times when cleaning near his caves and left a mark. Oh and be prepared for your gravel to move all to one side of the tank. They love to dig! I am going to be getting mine a mate soon. Once you've seen their colors in person your hooked on them. Heres mine when he was just 3 inches TL. The second pic is him next to my 2.5 inch con so you can he has grown a little and lastly him today.

wow thats a amazing sal i picked a 1-1.5 up yesterday he has some nice finage but we will have to see if he comes out anything as good as yours hopefuly he does, i will get a couple of pics and make a thread as i what to know what sex"it" is, nice pick up they are cool fish its the first 1 i have had and he was feeding within 2minites seriously
 
Mine is a male. Males have Blue speckles all over and don't have much red on the belly. Also the yellow is more of a mustard color and females bright yellow with lots of red on the belly and a little black and blue dot on their dorsal fin. Suprisingly I got this guy from a LFS in a tank filled with Salvinis and RTC. He was the boss of the tank.
 
Cool little guy. For sex I am going to say you have a Male. Because of the markings and juvi females have their black dots on their dorsal fin when they are little and yours doesn't have it. Hopefully he'll color up and be a beast. How long is he?
