Oops, I am a fish murderer, I sort of killed my Elephant nose. It's taken me a year to find the perfect tank mate for my Aro. He got tangled in my big net and I didn't see him until it was too late! So, knowing you blood thirsty MFK"R's would ask for pics, I took close-ups of the anatomy of an Elephant nose. He shrunk an inch after he died.

Anyone else ever accidentally kill their fish? I can't be the only one.....c'mon fess up, let's hear it.

The closest I've come to killin' my own fish wasn't, in my opinion, my fault. I had a ropefish and a senegal bichir in a 29 gal and the heater malfunctioned. Long and short of it is the water temp hit 115 F +...Sucked...

Aw, that sucks.

I once bagged up a plant and accidentally got a pleco at the same time. And then once I... aw hell, that list is longer than I want to think about.

But you gotta admit, that fish would make a great Halloween decoration hanging above the front door.

what a shame that this happened to such a big guy.. they are not that hardy and to get one to this good size would really be bothering me to lose it.. I have had a couple and they are really a specialty type fish that need to be alone.. at least thats what i found keeping them.. it took awhile for mine to adapt and then he was very territorial and finally i put him by himself but they do not like change.. so i eventually lost him.

wth? he looks starved

i dont see how he could shrink in freshwater

due to osmosis, his body should have expanded.

Sorry about the loss... What were you doing with a net that he would have been tangled so long without noticing that he would have died?
