Man I still can't stop crying. I took some of these pictures just yesterday. I loved the little guy and he was beautiful.

:cry::cry::cry::cry:

So in his memory, here is every photo I have of him, rest in peace lil' buddy, I don't know what happened, but I'm miserable right now without you Bruce.

Also, disregard the 83.5 on that. That was weeks ago and I fixed the heater setting the same time I noticed it. Really don't need a "THAT'S WHAT KILLED HIM" speech right now.

Water parameters were fine when I checked them 0 everything 15ppm Nitrate. 78.5 degree water. I am really at a loss as to what happened. You wouldn't think bloat would be a quick killer, I went to get medicine as soon as I saw him floating helplessly... :(

i am so sorry for your loss.. i am not ashamed to say when i lost my first bichir i cried like a baby.. they are unique little guys and make their way into your heart..

That sucks, sorry for your loss, man. 83.5F isn't nearly hot enough to kill a bichir though (my tank gets up to 84F in mid summer), so that actually couldn't be what killed him anyway.

I've always had a great attachment to any of my pets. Be it a dog, cat, fish, whatever, I love them all the same.
Same here.
