In-line heater?

I'm getting 265 gallon on thursday anyone use an inline heater for this size tank or just use 2 3oo watt
whats the benefit of a inline heater vs 2 300's
only want to set this tank up once

Benefit? In-line should be more efficient for one. But the main thing is the fact that you don't have ugly heaters visible in your aquarium. And the ability to adjust the temp without getting your hand/arm wet.

what kinda of inline u looking at i am thinking about getting one also but i haven't looked to hard yet and have only seen one brand in a LFS

i just found this http://www.aquariumguys.com/ethheater1.html there is also a bigger one Watt wise that is but the inlet and outlet on them both is only 16mm about 5/8" so u might be limited on your size of outlet tubing and may not work

I'm thinking about the in-line heater too. Would 1 300 watt be enough for a 180g? And would it work with the hoses like a fluval comes with?

I have 1-300 watt inline on a xp-3 and one in my sump on my 7x2x2.5 no problems
