In love with pikes :D

I recently got 2 small pike cichlids and I don't know why buy I absolutely LOVE them..I kinda wanna ask my dad if I can keep a pike-only tank..They're so interesting and different. I love them

Anyone else gone like this?

Oh yah, I got addicted to pikes hard. I went from having one species (venezuela) to having 6 species in a span of about 3 months... I'm back down to 4 species now, due to selling some off and one dying...

I was like that just days after buying my first dwarf pikes. All the personality and fiestiness of a large cichlid in a 3" package.

pike only tank would also generally be a one pike tank or a bonded pair. pike tend to be very aggressive to another pike. i always prefer to have one pike or a pair as the centerpiece of the tank and then i stock the tank around them.

Indeed, tis the way a tank should be!

OR you could get a larger tank and have multiple pikes. Right now in my 300gal I've got four pikes, three species.

Learned that the hard way. I purchased a trio of pike, and within a couple weeks, the biggest one took over. I had to move the other two to a another tank because they weren't feeding when with the dominant one. Luckily both are doing well in the spare tank and in fact have begun to take freeze-dried shrimp.
