While taking a cruise of LFS's today I saw my first dovi in person, and I really want to get rid of everything else and buy it. Would $30 be a good price for a 6"? I think it's a male by looking at the coloring of the others on here. Also, when do they get aggressive. It was in a tank with 2 jags, and countless other cichlids, and the tank was way to small.

In my opinion the name Dovi means agression from day one. I guess it depends what size tank there in and what is in with them. In my experiance a 6 inch Dovi dominated the Cichlid tank and i had some casualties. Lots of room and hiding spots for tankmates and all goes well now.

Yeah.
Its best to have them alone from the start.
Otherwise you'll run the risk of waking up one day to dead tankmates.
There isnt really a set Time they become aggressive.

Usually jeuvenile fish are able to be kept with other fish. But there's no telling when that day comes that the Dovii desides to do some spring cleaning.
It could be earlier on than other Dovii.

where did you see a dovi around here???
Aqualand??? if you do get anything from them make sure you do an extensive quarintine if you need a small tank to do it in let me know I have tons of extra 10 gallons sitting around
