Keep a Jaguar, Red Devil x Flowerhorn/fader thing and Texas long term?

yes to the jag and tex (are you referring to a cyano or carpintis?), no to the FH, FHs for the most part are pretty much going to need a solitary set up once they mature.

Could i divide the tank up? the Flowerhorn is pretty much 99% Red Devil, he has the lips, body shape and colour, i bought him as a louhan from a importer along with some ZZ's.

The Texas is a unknown to me because it looks like it has traits from both, if i was to guess it is a female Carpintis morph, its not as pretty or as green as the ones i have had before, it looked amazing as a 2" fish, now its around 6" it looks bvery dull.

The Flowerhorn has been grown up with other fish (its around 5.5") and its still in my grow out tank with the 2 fish mentioned, my 6x2x2 should be ready after xmas, so was going to start putting the fish in it then.

Do you think the Red Devil mutt would kill the Jag etc?

Current sizes of the fish that could go in there are: Texas 6", Red Devil 5.5", Jag 3" plus i have a 4.5" Jack Dempsey, 8" Gibbi Plec and a 2" male Green Terror that could go in there to.

here is my Louhan/Red Devil mutt when i first got it, i need to take some updated photos.

it will work, make sure you have plenty of hiding spaces that's a huge tank

180g really isnt that big once you get into keeping these big aggressive cichlids,

but yeah OP who knows it may work, but with the jag being smaller that is worrisome, if the jag was already larger than him than it may have been better but who knows you may have a milder specimen, i guess just keep a close eye out and then divide him if he starts to be too aggressive, you could probably get away with putting the JD and GT in there too since they dont grow as large but watch them, since some of them can be real wimps and they may get beat up

and with that stocking you will definitely have to keep up with water changes as they mature, and if its divided then i wouldnt because then i think the jag will feel crowded when he gets big

Yeh im a big waterchange guy anyway, i do 50% a week on my 4x2x2 because its so overstocked it starts to smell lol, i cant wait to get the big tank cycled then i can thin my stock out in my grow out :P
