in need of a cool cat

i have a midas going into a 90G in the next few days,i want a catfish that will look cool patrolling the bottom and still be able to take a bit of cichlid abuse,please don't say a common pleco cause i have a 15" one that i'm trying to pass on to somebody else,i'm looking for something exotic looking

any ideas just post em up :)

You could go with a columbian cat shark, mine skims along about 1/2" from the bottom. not real exotic though.
 
Maybe a 4 line pictus? They get larger than their spotted cousins, and are pretty quick. If you provided some type of cover they might get along. Large striped raphael cats are very tough, but tend to be inactive during the day.

If you are prepared for a fish that will be 17+ inches in less than a year. Maybe even as much as 24 inches in a year. and 30 or more after 2 years. Those are extreme growth rates but it can happen. I advise against it unless you have a mega monster tank in the works.
 
go for Mystus leucophasis, the black asian upside down cat. it's tough, showy, graceful/beautiful, and exotic enough. they don't grow too large (max 12" SL). mine lives with bichirs, a big Paratheraps guttulatus, Oreochromis tanganicae and large plecos.
