a tank with slow moving water...give it some rocks /wod for it to get out of the water...start by feeding mosquito larvae..

I think they hibernate, but let us wait for guys with more knowledge...

well they live in streams, and they are fairly carnivorous, so small fish, frogs, and crayfish will do, keep them temp on the warm side aroun 75-80, but i know they can withstand some extremes...but other then that large rocks, and pebbles will do for a substrate

I have never seen one before..so cute, are those fins or little feet on front and back.. or fins used as feet.. good luck with the little guy,

they're feet and the frilly stuff by the front pair are the gills

THANK YOU ..:)

NO 75-80 degrees WAY TO WARM they need there water in the high 50's to low 60's very clean they need a slow but swift current they do well on a diet of goldfish, crayfish, frozen shrimp (once they get acclimated), etc.... MAKE SURE YOUR TANK IS WELL SEALED BECAUSE THEY WILL JUMP NO 2 WAYS ABOUT THAT

y'all have seen the photos of mine I have about 6 of them now VERY COOL ANIMALS

They like to hide, not social animals, so give it a nice cave.

When I use to have mud puppies, I fed them a lot of worms. They are great pets, but they take a lot of work, space, and food. As stated earlier, a good lid is 100% necessary.
