Hey Everyone,
Considering getting back into aquaria, I've taken a few years break. I was thinking of starting off small with a spare 20 long I have laying around and making an in tank sump. I plan on doing this by getting some glass cut to make an overflow and glue the sheet of glass inside the tank to make a mini-sump out of it. I'll have a small pond pump in the sump and the heater, but I'm having difficulties thinking about how I'm going to run the filtration. It will be a dwarf puffer, so I can't have too much current. Considering using dish scrubbies for bio because they're small and easy to install, but I'm having difficulties coming up with how to add mechanical filtration into it. I know I'm limited by sump size as this will be small, but any ideas? I know I'm sacrificing water volume with this plan, but I intend to paint the tank over where the sump is, and paint the overflow for aesthetics and one dp does not need 20 gallons.
Any thoughts or critics?
