In the eye of Geophagus Jurupari

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
is the jurupari a real personable fish? those types are usually big camera hogs.
I saw a comment on forum, that jurupari are the most owner interactive of geo species.

Learning to take good fish pics with the new camera. It's just a Olympus TG-620 point and shoot but the waterproof lens allows you to put it right up against the glass preventing reflections from the glass. I'm sure there will be more sessions and keeper photos coming. Along with the Jurupari I also have 2 Acarichthys heckelii, and 2 geophagus surinamensis, although when querying the owner of my fish store he admitted they could be altifrons. Can't wait for these guys to grow out! Also in the tank are a couple of lemon yellows, a large red Severum, Green Severum, male and female Frontosa, and a bristle nosed pleco.

The Jurupari is definitely a curious fish and he interacts allot. He is fun to watch!
