Hi so my old "hand me down on roids" craigslist, purchased used Odyssea PC fixture another bulb bit the dust. So now only 1 bulb works out of 4. Lights up half the tank. So im basically looking for suggestions on what i should get. Cheap is good. The cheaper the better. Just not the falls apart in your hand cheap. Or the banging it against the wall doesnt work cheap. Moonlight led is good. Needs to support live plants with a moderately high lighting requirement. Not like hc or dwarf hair grass, but like ludwigia echinodorus aponogeton vals, etc...Also good fish color is a plus. Im currently looking at aquatraders. Please dont bring up the old fire hazard bs ive been dealing with aquatraders for years ive used their fixtures their bulbs their filters, etc... Both their leds and t5. I dont want metal halide, i definitely dont want PC again. Ima stick with either t5 or led or a mix. All suggestions/critique/etc are welcome. Also i do have a budget, unless it has some perk like absolutely out of this world, guy handing out free money on the sidewalk, type of thing lets keep it under 100$.

Too bad ur in norcal. I just upgraded to leds and have a lot of jebo dual floresants i would sell you cheap.

just get walmart or home depot t-8 fixture and the appropriate plant bulb+ a 50-50 or 10'000k bulb ... whole fixture+bulbs50-60 bucks

If your looking into having plants i'd ask over @ plantedtank.net my right off the bat suggestion would be to stick with the t5's for sure, WAAAAAAY better then t8's, and home depot for instance sells a 2pack of phillips 6700k daylight bulbs for $10- 48" shop light fixture $13- . My anubias, java ferns, jungle sword, java moss, xmas moss, subwassertang grow fine under it w/o ferts or co2. But def check out the site for better advice. Plants are harder then fish hands down lol
