Incoming Tsunami for Hawaii

Already over for the most part. They said it was like a weird tidal surge rather than a tsunami though. Hawaii has one of the best tsunami warning systems in the world. It was great that they warned everybody (as much as possible) and cleared the beaches, but a "no show" just wants people to ignore the next tsunami warning!
yea there was only a few feet of surge .. which is nothing really .. when i was there we went to north shore and they had 20-30 footers ... so they people out there know how to deal with big water ..
I bet half of the people in Hawaii had there surf boards in hand waiting at the beach. I know I would be.
ehh you dont typically see big waves .. just a rise in water level . .. its kind of boring for surfers ..
