Hey All,

One of my recent pups born has a couple spots in the rear of its disc that are not complete. The pup is now about a week and a half old, eating great but the spots look no different. I originally thought maybe it got bit by one of the larger rays in the tank from when it was born but it looks too symetrical and I do not see any other trauma / injury like I would expect a bite to have.

I was not sure if this would be like the cleft lips we have seen pop up on occasion and would be there long term or would fill in with time. Wanted to get more opinions so I can let any potential buyers of this ray know what may happen with it. The other 6 littermates of this ray are perfect and the past litter (3 pups) also did not have any like this.

Any opinions / past experiences would be great!

Here is a pic of her taken yesterday.

Thanks for the info. I just was not sure and wanted to see other people's experiences. I am sure any potential buyers of her would ask the same question and wanted to be able to give an honest answer.
