indian almond leaves

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
good question, mine should be here next week, guess we'll find out :D

One leaf per 10g will do. Any amount will do actually. Be careful though as pH swings are dangerous and will harm your fish.

ya i dunno if im gonna buy them because i remember reading in a hobby magazine that you shouldnt even try and mess with the pH because it does more harm than good, and i think i agree because trying to replicate pH's is hard when you do weekly WC's...

and i got another question. could i just grab some leaves locally and throw them into the tank for looks, or would local leaves in michigan harm tropical fish?
Oak leaves are good alternatives.

did you follow the link I put on mittenstate in that guys thread or something lol? I wouldn't bother with them. As soon as you change your water its going to mess your fish all up. Unless you can store like 50 gallons of it it's not worth it. Whats your pH anyways? It should be decent living down in the city. Mine is between 8-8.2 is blows.

you already know how I feel about them.. I picked some up at the last auction and they are going back to the auction tomorrow lol. Your pH is great, don't bother messing with it. I'd kill to have a steady neutral pH.
