One of the reasons for the "luckiness" and subsequent high price is that the fish's markings look like they spell "Allah" in Arabic.

Also note: India's per capita income is US$1000 (annual).

Damn!:screwy:

Very superstitious, writing's on the wall,
Very superstitious, ladders bout' to fall,
Thirteen month old baby, broke the lookin' glass
Seven years of bad luck, the good things in your past.

Oh When you believe in things that you don't understand,
Then you suffer,
Superstition ain't the way.

It certainly brought him good luck if someone is willing to buy it for more than he could make in over six years! He's just just throwing that good luck away now!
:banhim: you probably don't understand what the fish mean to that guy. He is a businessman, and his business has been going very well since he got the fish, so he would make more than the average income of people in his country!
