I like to target a new species each time I go out this year until I find my targeted species. I am now looking for Bowfin and Gar. I got a good lead that there are good sizes of both now locked in the Driftwood State fishing area that got in from the Big Blue River. I was unsuccessful on both of those bodies of water last weekend though but plan to try again this week. I also plan to try my hand at some catfishing on the white river this week sometime. Does anyone have any sweet spots of certain species they would like to share or offer a tip at where I can find my current targets at an accessible spot for shore fishing?
